About MicheleHave you ever been blessed to discover something that you love to do and better yet, learn that you have an affinity for the very thing that you feel passionate about doing? My name is Michele Crawford and I have a passion for working with people to resolve their problems. I feel privileged to have such a gift. It may have started in Grade Three when I so admired my teacher that I decided to be like her when I grew up. After graduating from Simon Fraser University with a Class A Teacher Diploma, my first position was working with children with emotional problems. From there it led to recognizing I had a talent for counselling and then, I never looked back. I have well over twenty years experience as a therapist, with most of those being in private practice. In British Columbia, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and in Saskatchewan, I am a Registered Psychologist and Social Worker. I am also a Canadian Certified Counsellor. In addition, I have taught university and college classes in counselling, guidance, and human resources. I have provided supervision for other therapists and worked as a special counsellor consultant for the provincial government. Besides being the editor for the Saskatchewan Guidance and Counselling Association journal Guidelines for five years, I have sat on numerous boards in the service area and many times, been invited to be a key-note speaker and session presenter in the counselling field. I recently moved back to the Vancouver area after living on the prairies for two decades. My grown son continues to live in Jasper. My extensive training is listed below. Certification:
